R420 Buffet Car

These models replaced the R26B and R27B Victorian Railways models in the R3DA set of 1960. The R420 Buffet Car was not used in sets, but was available separately, as were the R26 and R27.

The grey roof was introduced in 1961 on the R26 and R27 but does not appear to have been used on the R420 Buffet car.  The vista dome seating is in the standard red/yellow/green colours. The Buffet Car interior is from the UK made Pullman carriages, but the red table lamp mouldings were only used in Australian made carriages.
